dash warning lights help

When I switch on the ignition I'm getting no ignition or oil lights the car runs ok and oil pressure is good, any suggestions?


Strange when I briefly crank the engine on the starter without actually starting the oil light comes on still no ignition light

Just cycled the central locking and now the oil light comes on but still no ignition light,
Am I right that the ignition light should come on with the key second position and go out when the engine starts?

Both those circuits earth in different places so the only thing they share is Fuse 16 (1997 Chim)

Thanks, the oil warning light seems to be ok today but still no ignition light, maybe the bulb?

In that case I would check the connection at the alternator first. Small brown/yellow wire...disconnect and short it to earth and see if the light comes on with ignition.
