Hi Paul,
Yes me and her in doors (Angela) will be going again this year, albeit from West Sussex, I have 3 other Tiv's in tow as well.
We are all booked on the Frogy boat out of Dover fairly early in the morning, so we can start on the beers just after 3pm !

That'll be the Dutch booking form in Dutch, compared to the Dutch booking form in English - €175 for the track day vs. €190 in English!!

Why is lunch at the circuit either €10 or £10 depending where you look? I'll blag a free one like I did last year
On the Dutch site, it is Euros 175 for members of the Dutch TVR Car Club and Euros 190 for non-members. At the current exchange rate Euros 190 is about £133 and the UK Club is charging £140 (which in isolation ain't to bad).
However if you book the hotel for two, meals and the track day and add it up, the UK TVR Car Club would appear to be making about £40 profit? Is this really fair?

Must admit I'd assumed that the UK prices were calculated using the €175 track day cost, on the basis that we are "members", albeit of the UK club.
In addition to this, the cost of the trackday, whilst still competitive with UK events in price terms (although I would expect most goods / services to be typically cheaper in Euroland) in sterling terms has gone from up from £100 in 2004 by a whopping 40% to £140! Now only a tiny fraction of that can be attributed to the movement in € / £ exchange rates - they were c. 0.66 in April 2004 vs. c. 0.68 currently -resulting in a increased cost in £ of c. 3%. It would be interesting to know where the rest of the increase has come from.

Mmmm where to start, well I guess the track costs, as these are what have driven prices up this year, while all the others have stayed the same.
The cost to the GB club was indeed 190e and what the club normally does is to take a view on what the euro GBP is, now I think that it has been worked out at 1.38 base line (tourist rate). Then as almost everyone pays by credit card, the club lose a percentage to MBNA, also the club opperates a profesional office and the cost involved are fairly propotioned out to each and every event.
Also there is a rounding up to cover costs of a couple of Bob here and there.
Last year the event was subsidised by both TVR club GB and pistonheads, I can only comment on what I know, and that this year there is no subsidey from the TVRCC.How about you Ted this year ?
I, like all of you hope that prices will stabilise now for the next few years. As a track day event it is now on the top end, but then Zolder for us Brits is more than just a track day !
