With the imminent demise of MG Rover, will this render TVR Britains largest car manufacturer? I never considered Vauxhall as they are made all over the world under different brands by the mighty GM corp.

I seem to remember that the company that makes the humble black cab actually makes more 'cars ?' than TVR !

MG is still running (parts of it) as far as I know so that would still be more than TVR?

Also Lotus i'd say maybe?

I'd love TVR to become bigger, but the bigger it gets, the bigger the risk of Chavs getting their hands on TVRs - It breaks my heart.

Dave.

Then that makes Lotus British too. Can't have it both ways!

Think you've got to differentiate between British company (as in manufacturing in Britain) in which case you'd have to count in Vauxhall etc, or British company (as in owned by Brits) in which case who knows!!

I thought that Lotus had been bought back again by the ex-owner of Caterham? Also, what about Noble (even though they're largely made in S. Africa). LTI - the taxi people - make 60 cabs per day, not sure how that compares to the rest
