speed 12 whats the point??

So everyone should drive a Renault Scenic then? No point in a sports car as you can only do 70mph anyway ...
The Speed 12 is an ex-racing car. It's not harming anyone and probably puts out less fumes than many old cars. The Speed 6 engine is actually very clean. So 2 bolted together must be twice as clean right?

About using the BHP, I have a feeling that was why the Speed 12 never made it to production. I have a feeling I heard that PW drove it from the factory to his house and decided that it was a bit 'much' for the British roads, especially with racing suspension to tackle potholes and 880BHP with no traction control to tackle roads of dubious quality. And roundabounts. And rain.
I did hear it did well on the GT circuit though?

Kinda harsh. Its a completely legitimate question. To a more sensible car enthusiast, the speed 12 will seem like a waste since you can hardly use it to its full potential most of the time. But on the other hand, for those that love raw power and lots of noise, the speed 12 just about does it.

think lord vader is just saying all that time and development and no real out come.
We all agree inc lord vader that the car is bloody amazing but alot of time and effort on tvrs behalf when we have cars like the typhon which havent been released yet and reading the threads on them people cancelling orders etc etc.
Dont get me wrong tvr are brilliant that why we all drive them, delays and problems are the nature of the beast.
But does anyone know how much cost was involved producing the speed 12, design build etc etc could that have been used else where??? Dont know enough about the speed 12 to say though

I think its perfectly sensible 'in the right hands'... and the new owner was the 'ideal' buyer for this behemoth...
I'll tell you what 1000rwhp drives like when mines done... I've been told its mad, but I know quite a few owners of very heavily tuned beasts who appreciate the 'brutality' of high torque & bhp, and as long as you dont get into the BIG POWER RPM territory, should drive generally well under control - albeit a tad rough.... but a slight blip of the throttle... and weeeeaaaheeeeeeeee.... all hell can break loose
