Remember reading about the new TVR garage on the A4, was around the area, so thought I'd drop round and have look....

Shame I didn't read the bit that said it hadn't even finished being built yet....

Doh!!

Drove past it meself yesterday.. .. ..it struck me that a test drive aint going to be too much fun 'cos of all the traffic in the area. How are you going to "stretch its legs"?

By taking it out of town, quick spin Windsor way and back.

Should only take about an hour which isnt unreasonable for a £50K motor...

I agree, how lame would a test drive be in London?! I'll be doing my tvr shopping out in the sticks even though I live in fulham.

You surprise me there, i always seem to sit in endless traffic jams.. .. ..it often takes me more than that to get to J8/9 from Heathrow

I take back all i said then.

didnt stop HR Owen and also the Porsche garage is only up the road i believe.

Anyway if its for London its about how you look in it, so surely they need to have floor to ceiling mirrors in there. no need to drive the thing....

I think they have done well with the location to be honest, not only does it get A4 traffic it gets A361 traffic and the road opposite to the A361 that always seems to be popular with people going North.

They needed something like this to raise awareness, good on TVR I say.

Hope they've got good drainage along that stretch of the A4 up to the lights at the roundabout. They will need to handle a high volume of drool

it's a great idea for a shop window and to help put tvrs back on the shopping lists of all those people who used to have Chimeras and now have porsches like everyone else in London.

But a test drive to Windsor? down the M4 and back up the past the bus lane, whoopeedoo!

Have the preconcieved ideas if you want, its a quick stretch and the bus lane makes no difference at all.

Its the most local place with good roads.
