Bloody lisa.

I cant justify keeping the Grif and having a Sag as thats £65k of motor cars and I wouldnt get the use out of them both, so would have to swap the Grif for the Sag. Think Ive more or less talked myself into it.
Went down again today as i got a call Sat morning saying they had a Tuscan come in in the reflex charcoal and di I want to see it. My God but that colour is stunning!

Aaand I think there will be a Supercharged Sag to change into within 3 yrs also

Well done - Im working on having a Sagaris to replace the Griff one day - it makes treating cowboy builders with kid gloves worthwhile

Note to self - sell more wood.

The Sag is a truly unique car. I beleive it will shortly go into back order and black market. Nothing else in the world is so wieldy and so potent. It makes 911s look like the stupidity we already know them to be.
This is bt far the best car I have ever driven. It is everything I have ever wanted in a car. And it is British. And it is a TVR. Rejoice!!!

You what?
So wieldy and so potent? Well as 99% of Uk driving takes place below 100mph, an Exige and Caterham will munch a stretch of the twisty black stuff just as fast as a Sag will. Make's a 911 look stupid? Well the 911 is more practical and even with the latest wanky variable sensing steering thingy stuff on the 997 still has steering feel leagues ahead of the Sagaris...mostly because TVR use the power steering unit from a Citreon Saxo. The air cooled boxer unit also sounds better, the water cooled ones sound on a par with the wet fart that is the Tamora's exhaust note.

So no, the Sagaris isnt God's answer to cars that you think it is.
What it does do is make you smile in exactly the way the Grif does. I just need to see if I can get mine de-catted or failing that Ill have James sleeve the can.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but it get's tricky when others try to force their ideas and beliefs upon others.

I for one have talked myself out of the Sagaris for a wide variety of reasons and into a Tamora - "Wet fart" and all....

Thats good. The sooner we can get 500 of the things shifted, the sooner it can be replaced by a sportscar.

And you are entitled to your opinion along with everyone else. It's when 'people' (in quotes because you're a troll, not a person) force thier beliefs upon others that it becomes a problem.

As a Caterham owner and having taken a Sag for an extensive test ride I would have to disagree with this. A Sag will be well over 100MPH a lot more often and it is a piece of piss to get it into the 130+ zone on relatively short straights. You can commit in the Sag and throw it down a road using that superb power to weight ratio to stunning effect. Caterham aerodynamics mean that the startling initial acceleration tails off very rapidly with speed.

so what if the PAS is from a Citroen - PAS is PAS - even if it's got a Pig badge on it. Funny enough a man I know who runs an Alfa Dealership says the PAS is made by the same 3rd party anyway!

Doug at David Gerald reckons that the electric power steering is an improvement. Obviously he has driven more TVRs than most of us and he races so he doesn't just cruise around.

Whether or not to drive fast on public roads has been debated on PH many times before. However your view on this does not give you the right to be abusive.

edited to say: I now notice you are a BMW driver, this helps explain your discourtesy.

Like hell!
"making progress" is one thing, 130+ on the public road is pure out ing ludicrous! It is one thing for Shelby to be testing Cobras at 170 on the M1 in the early 60's, it is an entirely different thing to be doing it now! Ive done 120 on a motorway a cpl of times and then I backed off because I thought that was getting too hairy and silly. Ive done about 120 on a single lane carriage way once, that was more or less by mistake and it scared the sweet jesus living c@rp out of me. 130mph is utterly stupid, in any situation on the public road! One other thing, at 130 the Gurney flap, diffuser and splitters are actually working (unlike at 60, 70). Uk A/B road with its ridges, bumps and uneven qualities *will* disrupt that airflow and it will screw your downforce when you dont expect it. You want to play like that fine, but dont be driving anywhere near me.
