My hubby always used and still does the Autoglym collection. A couple of coats of polish topped up with their finishing gloss polish. Great results.

OK folks can I chime in hear! Today I washed the car using my ionic water filter http://shop.ionicsystems.com/htdocs/acatalog/Ionic_Catalogue_Spot_Free_Filter_Systems_53.html ! All I can say is forget polish! Just use Meguiars Gold car wash shampoo and conditioner and a microfibre cloth to dry! Car looks like its been polished beyond belief!

Another thumbs up for Meguiars Gold Class Wax. It leaves your paint looking super shiny, with relatively little effort.

autoglym Super resin applied by buffer then p21s wax by hand. Gives stunning results and protects the paintwork.

I've been using Zymol Carbon Wax which is brilliant but expensive. Have just tried a sample of Maguiars NCT Wax which is just as good and 1 third of the price. peter

Working in the US a lot it annoys me a tad that Meguiars is 50% cheaper over there, but the quality of the results are pretty good.

Here is what I use

Meguiars Gold Class Wash Shampoo and Conditioner - regular wash!
Meguairs quick wax - normally post wash
Meguairs quick detailer - when I can not wash the car and its got traffic film and dust on it
Zymol Concours glaze - 2 times a year
Zymol Glas - cleaning the windows

Accessories!
Meguairs wash mits
Ionic water filter
Numerous microfibre cloths

But....
the one thing I dont rate is my plastic window cleaner. I use Meguiars for this but I am not sure I rate it!!

You can find a Meguiars supplier from their own website - www.meguiars.co.uk/

Milton Keynes has two, less than 25 yards from each other!

I find the Autoglym Fast Glass quite good for the plastic back windows.

use zymol wax and I reckon you'll never use anything else.

it is just a wax that I use, I use Auto Glym Super resin to bring up the shine, zymol to add depth, protection and a really nice surface. I dislike meguiars a lot - it's cheap stuff in dear packaging if you ask me.

Right, if I went into Halfords and loked at the Autoglym products, what exactly would I need for a perfect shine for my Tam? (use basic Turtlewax at the mo, and the shine doesn't last too long!)
