Does anyone have a rear diff bush removal tool they could loan to me. I'm located in Bucks.

I've been fighting to get the rear top bush out of the chassis and with such poor access I'm struggling massively.

Anyone that could help would be much appreciated.

Get a hole saw kit like this.... https://www.screwfix.com/p/holesaw-set-13-piece-se...

But make sure if you don't buy this one get one with the extension bar. Use this to cut out the rubber and centre steel sleeve. Do this in two stages from both wheel arches.

Then use a hacksaw to cut through the outer sleeve but don't cut into the housing. Then drift out the cut sleeve.
If you have access to a die grinder and carbide burr this will work much quicker than the hacksaw.

Or you can use a blow torch to burn out the rubber (only a little bit smokey) but you will still have to remove the outer sleeve.

This is assuming you are body off, I wouldn't use the burning method with the body right over it.

Bush is out now, thanks for the tips Steve.

What a horrible job that was. Access made the job very frustrating.

Not to be taken as an easy job. I’d take changing the clutch any day of the week.
