What is a £5K limit? Do you mean miles rather than pounds?

Steve, I'm with Sunninghill and a very similar postcode to yourself. Managed to get them down to £495 (Clean record). Mannings came out cheaper, but no non-TVRCC track days.

Yeah I've got a clean record as well, sounds like you did a bit better.(could be the difference between Surrey & Hants?)Tried Mannings and were about the same.Just that I had the last Tiv with Sunninghill.

Sunninghill wanted about £560, but was able to knock them down a bit over the phone. I usually find insurance brokers have got a bit of leeway (Sp?) if pushed. Having said that, I've heard nothing but good things about Sunninghill, so you can't fault the pricing. Very good value.
Surrey is usually slightly higher than Hants to insure, but I don't see why it should be significantly so. Hope this helps.

I'm with Sunninghill too. Chimaera 500, me 32 with a minor fault claim and 3 points, wife 30-something, no cliams or accidents, 3 points, car kept on driveway in Yateley, full NCB, £766.62 with Class 1 Business Use and protected NCB.

Maybe I'm not a good enough negotiator?

EDIT: Its an unlimited mileage policy, but I was told that unless I could keep the mileage down to 5000 miles then there was no point going for a limited mileage policy. I did 7000 miles in 10 months this year so unlimited makes more sense. Maybe that's where the extra money went?

I was told there's a 10% difference in premium between limited and unlimited. If you think you're borderline, go for limited and then pay the extra 10% if you find it necessary towards the end of the year.

I posted on this very subject on the Wedge list recently: try Classicline/ Ian Fray at Hinckley.
01455 891330.
Just renewed on my 390SE at £269 for 3000 miles. Would've been £369 for 5000 miles.
That's fully-comp, protected NCD, £250 excess (that's a minor scratch on a TVR anyway!), car valued at £7K, includes breakdown cover and loss recovery etc. and is with Royal Sun Alliance. They do agreed value and stuff.

What track days to Sunninghill cover. I understood it to be any official track days but don't have a definition.
