I was explaining to my 7 year old that TVRs were called TVRs because their creator was called Trevor, and that he'd taken three letters from his name........
Apparently there was an American guy who started his own car company, or two. His name was R.E. Olds, and one of his early offerings was called the 'Speedwagon', hence the band.
