LNT finished 6th and 7th behind micheal caine in the Porker RSR, with the 2 fezza modena's and the 1st/2nd factory RSR team. Pretty good as the Tomlinson driven T400 was only 20 secs behind the 1st place factory porsche RSR team after a 3 hr race!!!

Would be looking good for Le Mans...if they'd qualified

another stonking result for LNT!

Excellent result for LNT and TVR ....again, just hope the rumours about the LM reserve list bear fruit.

Lawrence Tomlinson and Warren Hughes were at the HHC track day at Croft on Wednesday - didn't sound like there's much of a chance of entry to LM at all.

There were a lot of teams trying to secure an entry, and at the time LNT were an unknown and unproven team. They've had some good results since, but they're not even on the reserve list (AFAIK).

Much better to have another 15 teams of Porsches.

If it's a question of funding, why don't we have a whip round here on ph. I'd stick some money in if it meant a tvr at Le Mans. How much would they need?

I think it was more a problem of qualifying, they didnt do too well at Sebring & that was the one that mattered (please dont shoot me down in flames if Im wrong as I dont follow the racing too closely)

Since then they have had some excellent results, its a shame they wont be at LM - as you say, it would be great if they were able to make it but the powers that be dont look likely to budge

there is a TVR at Le Mans...The Peninsula TVR Tuscan will be there.

Thing is, the Peninsula car is one of the first race cars, driven by enthusiastic semi pro drivers, and the LNT car is the much later Ex-works & synergy car with much more experienced drivers, with a bigger budget.
Hence more speed!

As i understand it, the LNT problem is the change of ownership, this meant that races/history didn't count and therefore they didn't qualify. Tho car and drivers had actually done enough under different names.

Real bummer anyway, very quick cars, well driven.

I'm sure they'd do very well if allowed.

That's a real shame but good on Peninsula for giving it a go. I'll be rooting for them.

It would be nice if Peninsula and LNT could put their heads together for the Le Mans race and submit a worthy car or at least one that will finnish!
