S1 TVR - Vitesse model Tuscan.

I've just acquired this model of a 1/43 scale Vitesse Tuscan to my now rapidly growing collection and was surprised to see it has the above reg. Is this based on a real car or is someone else driving around with S1 TVR on there pride and joy? Anyone seen the real reg/car?

that doesnt make sense as the car had an owner change before it was even made!
