My brother has just bought a 450 Chim with Dunlops (SP2000) all round.

To say it handles different to SO2's on my 450 Chim (with the same aspect ratios etc) is an understatement.

Does anyone have experience on this rubber, should we be looking at the set up or an early Xmas present?

I had these tyres on my vitara before i bought the tvr ( big step i know! )
They are truly a awful tyre the vitara slid everywhere in the wet, god knows what they are like on a tvr!!

Check to see whether they are Z rated - if not, he is probably uninsured Is its handling different in characteristic, or just grip?
He probably should get some Bridgestones (SO2PP or SO3PP) on it ASAP

Had these on mine when I bought it. Raised eyebrows, but dealer said they were fine - drove for 4 months no problem.

Just replaced them with Potenzas - though strangely they are not labeled SO2 or SO3, but RE70 or something - still the right size, Z-rated, tyre place said they were listed as the only Bridgestones for Griffs...

Anyway, Dunlops - are they that bad? Maybe I'm in for a pleasant suprise when I get the Griff back from the dealers. The few miles I drove before the starter motor packed up showed no discernable difference, but then I wasn't really 'making good progress'.

I didn't know any different - handling wise - between Potenzas and Dunlops - maybe I've been missing out.
