It's a valid point. No news on the site yet today. Why? Because I've been chasing people around the Gassing Station trying to maintain some decorum.
It seems to have gone a bit mad over the past 24 hours. I logged off late yesterday afternoon and went out for a few pints (only had 3) plus quite a few whiskys so didn't log back on here untill I got to the office this morning. It's taken me most of the morning to try and catch up.
At the risk of being slated for being boring the purile 'knob' element does seem to have got worse again which I feel is a shame, but I guess PH will suffer that as being a victim of its own success.
I feel I tread a fine line sometimes as I have a warped sense of humour but I try and ask myself how I would feel about my teenage kids reading the posts here and yes, I try and only edit, delete or lock a thread when it really warrants it.
Lets all think about whether what we post is something we would be happy for our young kids / parents /gran / girlfriend / squirrel / etc reading - self moderate and make Ted's life easier.

Me too, BUT I wouldn't have when I first joined as I didn't know how good it would be - that is the problem with such a scheme I think - reduce the number of new members massively
Don't worry guys, there's no subscrption in the pipeline. I do have plans for a few premium facilities but I'll get to work on them over the winter.
Thanks for you support. Despite my protestations over the last couple of days I do of course enjoy doing this immensely and it's great fun talking to you guys every day.

I think this a fab free site having only found it in the last month but even a 30-day trial membership followed by a fiver - I would have paid to stay! This is by far the best site I have come across for those venturing into ownership. Obviously current members excluded if scheme did happenand if new ones add something to the pot it could go towards one big PHers party......!
