Brembo Anti rattle spring problem

Hi

For those that use Brembo E38 Calipers, I’ve been supplied the following springs but they don’t seem to fit as they seem too wide. Am I doing something wrong here or have I been given the wrong ones?

Have you had your calipers refurbished?

It looks like they’ve been split and the inner left has been bolted to the outer right and vice versa.

The arms of the cross should locate in the two indents but yours aren’t opposite each other.

Ah, crap. Yes, I bought them referbed. I’m guessing then that it should just be a case of reassembly? I did wonder why the indents were offset but thought it was because I needed another type of spring.

I bet it will fubar the paint too when they separate. I may have to dremmel a line down the join first. Not a happy bunny.

Yeah that’s shoddy work to say the least!

Still when you put them right you’ll have world class brakes.

Just run a Stanley blade down them carefully. Should do the job.
