Lost my near side wiper blade today when it parted company with the arm which was then destroyed by the time I returned to pick it off the road. Is it a standard item that I can get from Halfrauds or will I have to get one from another source ?

I believe, that believe it or not its an actual TVR part although I could be wrong, just seem to remember reading the same question before.

Might be a good opertunity to get the new Leven ones?

The blades are std ones available from any motor factors, just measure the length and buy accordingly. You may need to bend the end a little to fit the windscreen curve.
Its the wiper arms that are TVR parts, these cost about £12 from any TVR dealer.

They are a TVR-specific part due to the unusual curvature of the windscreen.

Some chaps on here have bought 'generic' wipers from Halfrauds and have used brute force to shape them properly.

However, if it was me, I'd take the opportunity to get the full Leven wiper and washer kit fitted

I've fitted the Leven ones and they are most cool. Can't really get any more excited about wipers than that.

Been down to Halfrauds but can't see the same type. My one that is broken is made by 'Valeo'. The metal bit (technical term) is 10" long and the actual rubber blade 14". In Halfrauds they are both the same length so won't this restrict the curvature of the blade ?

Have the leven ones been fitted to all the models? Or are all the models wipers the same?

I thought they had just been tested on a Chim.

Tested on Chim... (mine).. but know they have been fitted to Griffs and Cerbs (although not sure of success on the latter).

Might be best to speak directly with Leven, but if your blades are 16" then I'm guessing you wont have too much of a problem.

Cheers Podie.

Just been out with a tape measure and they are 17.5 in.

Out of interest a Tuscans are 20.5 in!

I guess that might cause some problems.
