the AA took it to Thames Valley Racetech today!!
However, I'm still smiling cos I've had the best 2 weeks of driving for - since I can remember, including VW on Sunday. And any, it only needs a water pump gasket, AND had the decency to wait till we got home before it wet my garage floor! You will never believe the story the AA man told me about the 'Special' one of only 3 Tuscans with an 18,500 pound paint job he'd picked up! Then he went on to explain how reflex paint was discovered by accident at TVR. Any way cant wait to get the car back - tommorow I hope - getting withdrawl symptons already. Hell I even did the washing up tonight.

Reflex paint is only £1850 these days and was "only" around £6000 when first offered by TVR at the Tuscan debut (was that the '99 motorshow(?), think that was when mine was ordered).

So what would £18.5K get you and why would you be stupid enough to pay a third of the price of the car on paint what is going to get stone-chipped to hell within a year anyway?! That's if you actually drive it anyway!!

£18.5K sounds like a bit of an urban myth to me.

There are paints out there that are a lot more than Reflex like Candy Apple Red which is something like £600 a pint but I think £18.5K is a bit outside the realms of paint.

Reflex/Chameleon Paint was invented by Chromaflair.
