www.warrantyworks.co.uk £1074 for 3yr top of the range Platinum policy with £2500 per claim limit
Ive got a Gold warranty with WMS, supposedly covered up to the value of the car. Shame theyve wriggled out of the only 2 attempts to claim Ive made. I shant be renewing wih them.
Interestingly, the AA have just renewed my £99pa £1000 claim policy for another year? Thought they where only offereing the £49 policy now? Shouldnt speak to soon, I guess

No you've got it wrong...The £99 policy costs £1,000 and you only get £49 back on a claim.

Ahh, thats where Im going wrong then

RAC have managed to wiggle away from 15 out of 15 claims that I've put to them.
I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Be very carfeul with aftersale 'warranties'. Most of them aren't actually warranties...they are named component insurance. This means they will only pay up if a particular component fails. Things to consider are:
1. They only pay upon 'failure'. You can might see a component deteriorating...but they won't replace it until it 'fails'...which normally means you've gone spinning into the central reservation at 70mph.
2. They are very careful about what components they 'name'. When my wipers died, they offered to change the motor (£50 approx) but not the rod/wheels (£600 incl labour).
3. They won't cover investigative work. You won't know if you can claim UNTIL you've already spent £££'s getting a mechanic to identify the 'failed' component. You can then be left with a big bill if the component itself isn't covered.
4. They don't cover for 'wear and tear'. According to the RAC Claims Centre, just about EVERY failure is due to wear and tear. For instance, my heater switch failed due to 'wear and tear' as the wiring was old!?!?
Frankly, my RAC warranty isn't worth the paper it was printed on.
