Revised Opinion of the Sagaris

Racing Green had brought a few Saggy's to Thruxton so I went over for a good nose.
Now up until now I'm afraid the Sag has just been too much for me - too Max Power, too, sorry to say it, plain old fugly with its bizarre rear end and silly bonnet vents.
Then I saw one in black. With a black and aluminion interior. :lick:
It looked meaner than a mean thing in a room with all its mean friends being mean to one another - whilst being in a mean mood.
The black seems to tone down the (IMOO) less good aspects of the styling and seriously enhance the overall, errr, meanness of the thing.
Clearly on starting the thing up several dozen small, helpless and furry animals would instantly keel over and die and every small child in a fifteen mile radius would burst into tears.
What a machine. Dribble.

Could not agree more.. interesting to know what "the aluminion" interior was? Do you mean the aluminium controls or was some of the carbon leather interior silver in colour? Sorry to ask.. but just about to spec mine out !!

If I didn't live in mine or your neck of the woods "no pun intended" it would be the Sagaris for me.
The original Sagaris did not do it for me, but the one I drove "Black I remember" but the sound of it and the vision of it, appearing over the brow of the hill was mesmerising, not just for me but the cluster of people waiting to take it back out again.

Yep. The Aluminium
controls, surround to the stereo, gearknob etc. It had a beautiful black leather (or faux leather) dash - and covering for the roll cage - with contrasting stiching. Not sure how much was "extra" aluminium or aluminium look but the overall effect was stunning.

We need to get .Mark to set the date. I know September is busy this year - but we can't leave it any later. August is still during the school hols - we tried it one year (that really hot one) and it didn't work quite as well...so...
I must confess that the saggy-arse has consistently grown on me, bit by bit, since its launch (at which point I hated it) to now (where I really want one).
I think the recent AutoCar road test was the final straw that pushed me from 'indecisive' to 'positive'.

Off topic I know, but yes, a date would be good, preferably at the beginning of Sept but that will clash with Revival as usual and the Le Surrey run, but its always going to clash with something.
I want to avoid the end of September as we are expecting our first nipper at the end of that month so earlier the better for me!

Oh so much to say ....
1. There's nothing saggy about my arse <grin> and I hated the Saggy when it did have a saggy arse, but obviously my opinion changed 'cos I flogged the blokes griff to buy one!

Saw my first Sagaris yesterday and loved it, BUT - by accounts, it is not the fastest TVR (that's what I was told, by more than one person). That title is still (apparently) held by the Cerbie 4.5 RR.
I get confused about all this as TVRs figures don't ever seem to be accurate - and the quoted figure for Sagaris is either 3.7 or 3.9 to 60, depeding on where you read it. I was surprised to hear that it is not as quick as a Cerbie, especially as the quoted bhp for S6 cars is usually more honest/realistic (delete as you wish) than the AJPs.
Still, the Sagaris is a very nice motor - and much better looking for what it is, than the Mk2 Tuscan.
