Everytime I go to a certain Shell garage round my way, and after filling to the brim my 4.2 C8ERA's tank with Optimax, I start her up pull away then stop at the junction (which is on a very slight upwards slope) and she cuts out on me. Then really struggles to restart! Engines turning but not firing! Finally does, then next time I slow at a junction same again! Cuts out and struggles to restart. Any ideas as to what this could be?

Going on non-TVR experience it sounds like an ECU issue to me...

I'd have thought more likely to be an air lock or similar in the fuel supply simply because it happens each time you fill up and not at any other time. Do Cerberas have the same type of fuel cap as Griffiths that object to being tightened up fully ????
I was wondering the same - try not tightening the filler cap right down - could be that there is not enough air above the fuel creating a vacuum which the pump cannot overcome, after several miles enough fuel has been used to give it the air space needed. Having the cap looser and allowing some air into the tank might fix it...or I might be talking cr*p.

I had exactly the same thing happen twice with my Chim. The pump nozzle at the garage was faulty causing the tank to overfill (petrol everywhere). After the overfill it kept conking out round corners. I don't understand the connection between the events but I'm careful not to overfill the tank now and have not had the problem since.
