Saw a man walking a dog down one of my favourite stretches of downhill road which amplifies sound I tried very hard not to wind up the revs, and let off at just the wrong moment, but I failed... BANG-BANG, BANG! Poor dog tried to leap up the wall

Coming home (downhill again) I saw a poodle, tried not to wind up again, let off... BANG BANG BANGBANGBANG! Poochie leapt a foot in the air, twice in a row

I laughed both times - Clearly Im a very very bad man

edited to put the story in its true and actual contex. After all, I didnt really mean to, both times

excellent

I was filling up with Optimax yesterday and when I restarted my Cerb, it gave a huge gunshot BANG

2 women standing nearby nearly st themselves as they leapt back. One of them was clutching her chest and I saw her mouth the words, "Oh my GOD!!"

I was very amused.. .... I love my decat and sports pipes.

Unless your dog has been remapped and chews nitrous bones, I doubt it

Blimey, I can see this one ending in tears............there are a lot of dog owners out there, and this does not paint a very good picture of TVR owners.
I know that 'pops and bangs' are part of TVR ownership, but deliberately scaring animals is not on.

Pedestrians and shoppers,on the other hand are fair game, the arrival of any TVR in a built up area should always be clearly announced!

I agree wholeheartedly

My girlfriend wouldnt tread upon an ant lest it upset the colony, but even she was in fits of giggles.

One of those 'had to be there' moments, thats all

I cant condone scaring animals either

my dog is happy with the sports exhaust, just falls asleep - the back ledge of the Chimaera is his usual ride.

Rather than hounding me, growling your distain, realise that my yapping merely sheds light on the fact that I've never done it before, nor since for that matter; Its fair to say I keep myself on a tight leash (except praps... in the muzzle department )

Being an animal lover, I wouldnt want others to view me as a mongrel, or an inbred of a chav-esq pedigree

Will stick to scaring small children and old ladies

Two posts (the second of which was far less angry) is hounding? I was very restrained, believe me.

And yes, I do realise you are trying to be clever/humorous.

Good, lets give some grief back to dogs. I'm tired of stepping around dog turds on the pavement and in the parks.

It's the owners you should be giving grief.

No, but the dog's probably got bigger teeth than you.
