There's a bit on a Cerb I really miss!!!

It's the bit that runs from the transmission tunnel to the dashboard.....
I don't know what it's officially called but I used to call it my 'dear lifer' cos I used to hang on to it for dear life when Ray took roundabouts at a rate of knots...(often
)...or if there was an overtaking manoeuvre in the offing...(more often than not ).....
The Sagaris doesn't have one......
I have nowhere to grip on to......
This is a terrible design fault on the Sagaris...
I'll have to have a word with TVR

I know the bit you mean, and I always thought it was a beautiful bit of dashboard architecture. God knows what it's called - buttress, arch....? who knows!
It's a shame it never found it's way onto any of the later cars which, IMHO, don't quite cut it in the interior design stakes, or at least not in the same way as the Cerb' (or for that matter the Griff')did when it was launched.

Hi Pauline. You will have to hang on to Rays handle in future. The tighter you hold it, the quicker he'll go!

Well...on my original post I did say that I needed something long and hard to grip hold of but for some reason
he wanted me to delete it..... But really...joking aside...I DO miss that bit.....especially bought to light after a 'spirited' run home very late last night..........
There's a certain roundabout which Ray seems to regard as a personal challenge....
AND I HAVE NOTHING TO HOLD!!!!!!!!!!
Track day on the 24th...........any suggestions apart from don't passenger!!!

If you think you've got problems in the Sagaris, just think of the poor so-and-sos who passenger Ian Massey-Crosse in his (very well driven) Grantura.
I've seen him on many track days and he fair drifts the thing around, and sets a very respectable pace. Trouble is, it's 'as new' condition includes the original, total lack of seat belts.
A small box is usually placed in the passenger footwell, to act as a temporary footrest, preventing passengers from dissappearing under the dashboard under heavy braking.!

So would a brown stain on the seat. And it was raining.

Fair point..and good idea......but even when firmly pinned down (I'm going to wish I hadn't said that..
) the instinct when you know something drastic is about to happen...is to reach out and grab that pinnacle thingy.....I was always grabbing the damn thing...
Still...thinking about it...T350 passengers must have the same problem.......
The Sagaris corners so much more firmly than the Cerb.....I begin to get a feeling of dread as we approach 'that' roundabout...........
I start muttering things like...okay...let's not get too lairy now huh.....but it falls on completely deaf ears.......
I hasten to add that this is always very late at night when there's not another soul about......
Oh well......I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it.......
