Defining moment
Discussion
Hit the big 10k in my chim 450 today on the way to the Goodwood track day. Couldn't have been a more perfect moment - Monday morning, sun out, top off, clear stretch of the A29 south of Billinghurst, lots of loud pedal. And to my complete surprise the mileometer actually went round to 10,000!!

Hah... can beat that,
Saturaday afternoon, navagating the straightest course possible while still actually using roads from Cambridge to Royston (With Thrust Hot on her heels, that Punto sticks like magnatec!... I may add), sun in the sky, windows and observitory open, Belinda Carlisle digitally belting out Runaway Horses, Twinkie stormed through 145,000.
Happy Birthday Lady, many happy re-turns!

Nice one Mouse!
With the amount of unnecessary but essential miles I'm putting on my chim in this fantastic weather I reckon I could soon be having another milestone celebration. My piggy bank is wishing it would start raining to stop the flow of funds to Shell and Esso for yet more tankfuls of their finest.

All of my funds are going the way shell at the moment, until some else can tickle twink's belly button (from the inside) more effectively.
What the hell do they put in Optimax? She was always was a goer, but this is plain stupid!
and FYI Belinda Carlisle rocks! Period accessory, 80's car, 80's tunes

Sorry, I'm afraid that I nicked a car nick-name.
I'm sure it came from the ancient Ford powered Lotii, or Lotus powered Fords. Anyway was the Lotus DOHC-Headed Ford cortina engine not known as the Twinkie?
I ended up using the name after posting on yank sites where even their v-tecs are sohc. Just showing off really. Over there the most common mod is to put the non vtec "zc" dohc engine into the CR-X. So here I am all smug in the knowledge that into english "zc" translates to "1.6i 16", and the lovely people @ ho. mo.co. did it for me, ergo the name.
I do everything for reason.

Speaking of landmarks, I've just realised that in the 2 1/2 weeks I've had my new mota I've cracked off the first 1,000 already. Shell are definitely profitting from the last of the summer vino!
If you think calling his Teranno-CRX Twinkie is bad, you should hear what he calls his, erm, wedding tackle
p.s. Are you gonna be wearing that smashing blouse again soon Mr Mouse?

You and that goddanm blouse!
If you want it, it's in the Oxfam on Burliegh street. I didn't wash, so it still has my scent. That should make you happy 'ay?
See at the massacre, 10-0 to Sunderland if my jinks is working properly!
Bring beer, and I guess you'll be hopping, right?
Mouse.
p.s.Your names for my wedding tackle worried me more!

I'm totally gutted. Not only did I have the great pleasure of witnessing your jinx have maximum impact, but I've now been down the Oxfam shop and the blouse was nowhere in sight
Have you got any undies you don't need any more, unwashed if poss? I'm sure the fragance ingrained in those will last far long than any blouse

I'm really really sorry hut, Venom always bring down the tone, he can't help it.
There went the nieghbourhood!?!...er no.. the county. Why must you be so silly all the time HONESTLY!!!
I did try to carry on along your vane of motoring finer feelings but Venom's slurrs just had to be answered.
I'll make no more mention of unwashed garments, but try to restore this tread to it's true and just path...
This is my absolute favourite time of year for driving in England. The bright clear mornings, when you can see for miles across the chameleon countryside, along clear snaking roads. The crisp autunm air giving our high revving motors the that little extra response, and silence all around apart from the sonerous voice of your chosen 4/6/8 as you pound down you favourite back road.
Driving heaven for me is seeing the twin vortices of whirling golden wind-fallen leaves in the rear view mirror.
What your's,
Mouse.

Spent a fun three or four hours the other week pulling and banging my Dad's Rover, after exactlty the same thing happened to him.
Amazing what you can do with an engine hoist and a gate post. Doesn't look too bad now. Now to use the same tools on the 4x4...mmmmmm
That wasn't quite what I had in mind, I wanted to cheer Hut up, not depress him further.
Come people, nice stuff....

Just a quickie to end this name bit Mouse. The DOHC Fords were known as "Twinks"
- not "Twinkies"!!
