As much as it hurts like hell, my financial situation has taken a recent dive and I think it's time to sell my baby.

I'm looking for a quick sale so I'll probably sell it for a little less.

So can anybody give me a rough idea of what I can expect to get?

The plus points:-

- Chimaera 4.0l - N reg (late '95)

- Mark Adams Chip

- "Type R" headlight upgrade

- Rear afterburners

- Leda adjustable suspension

- Clifford Concept 300 alarm, with boot release.

- De-precatted, sounds like thunder!!

- This car has never let me down in 2 1/2 years and 40k miles of motoring, the engine always starts and the temp and oil pressure are constant.

- This is a well known car (Maneks old one) that has been owned by PHers for the last 6 or 7 years.

Right, now the minus points:-

- 102000 miles!!

- Quite a few stone chips, and a couple of paint blisters I haven't had the chance to sort out yet along where the joints for the H/L conversion was done.

- Hood is a little tatty, has a small gash in the side. Looks OK after a good renevo and water sealant treatment though!

That's it really, see my profile for pics and an old video. Bear in mind that the car has a few more chips and is a fair bit louder now!!! Also the front grill is black and has no carbon fibre anymore.

So what do you reckon then folks??

Cheers and look forward to your replies

Edit: p.s. also the dash could do with replacing, quite a few cracks!

Shame you have to sell.

I have just sold my 95(N) 4L chim with uprated suspension, new tyres, engine mounts blah, blah, and all the usual bits, no damage internally, a few stone chips on the bonnet, a straight thru exhaust and small scuff right down under the passenger side front wing( low curbs) for £9,700, and that took 4-5 weeks to go. My car only had 55K miles on it, 10 months tax, and had just been serviced. Make what you will of the current market. Dealers were offering me £6K !!

Hope you have better luck. I sold mine for similar reasons, but I will get another Tiv.

I would imagine it would go for around £7k - £8k. The big downside if I were looking at it would be the need for a new hood, which is a few hundred quid, IIRC. Tidying paintwork might be another few hundred perhaps?

Full service history? Any major engine work such as rebuild documented? (reduces worries of engine wear and imminent bills perhaps?)

If I had the cash I'd be on the phone
