Just getting something off my chest, [there's more besides but what's the point?] and maybe hoping for a few pointers. Certainly not looking for a lesson in life.
On the fault front, I think something like wheels sticking out further on one side than the other quite a serious complaint, or am I alone here?

Well....the reason you won't be asking for your money back is relevant in the opening few remarks of your post..............
Trouble is....the title of your thread and the rest of your post...with a few of the most unsubtle remarks picked out.......given the fact that you hope the factory read this....is the reason that I doubt whether they will afford you too much help and assistance if you do take it back......

Got car back, different colour, was told it would calm down. Then told sun bleach has something to do with it, then told different paint supplier now used. [BOLLOX]
I took delivery of a brand new Chimp a few years back, from one of the big London dealers, there was a blemish on the front wing and the side of the bonnet was white, car was pearl red, took it back they resprayed four times over 2 months in four different shades of red and told me each time it was my eyes, when I involved ICI and lawyers things very quickly got sorted, turns out factory stamprd wrong paint code on car and original paint spray was never completed prior to leaving factory. Do we honestly think they can change, they know they have a very loyal customer base.Very sad.

[discounting the oil on the floor, under car and burnt] {it is checked as recommended when hot} Seems to me as because of too much oil in tank, when in left hander and on the revs the oil may be surging to the right hand side of tank and being sucked up into the airbox and burnt. [Had air filter off and is saturated in engine oil] Took it out again and has stopped blowing smoke.

Good friend of mine sent his Sagaris back with TWENTY FAULTS, one of which was the wheels were sticking out further on one side than the other!
Now I don't consider he or myself to be affluent by any means, just fortunate enough to be able to work bloody hard for many hours to be able to buy these cars. Now I think [especially after the quality drive at TVR] that for the factory to get something like oil level wrong is a bloody joke. Yes, I'm aware they may read this, in fact I hope they do. What happens now, what other options are there but to send it back to the factory again? VERY pissed off!!
My father decided to switch from Jags to Range Rovers some years back when Jags went boxy and the new Vogue EFI RR came out.
Car arrives and it is lovely. One interesting off spec feature though: The drivers side was nearly 2 inches longer than the passenger side!!!!!!!
This obviously was not possible and resulted in my father having to go to them with the car and a tape measure to prove this.
I recall is was about 4 months with one of their other cars beofre that one was fixed.
That's 4 months of testing the cars offroad capabilities and 'taking speedbumps at high speed' ability.Massive panel gaps on the drivers side and a lopsided rear section!!!!!!
The front end was fore-square with the road but the dash dropped down on one side and was resessed a little on the other.
It was absolutely comical and had all the hallmarks of a Friday afternoon British Leyland car.

Interested in average number of faults ... gave up counting on both Tamoras ... Nissan 350Z ... that'll be none as new and one at 1 year service ... boot struts needed replacing.
As for criticising the bloke for being p*ssed off, some of you need to go through a few of the agrravations some of us have been to realise just how annoying it gets. To stick your head in the sand and say keep quiet ... unbelievable. A pile of sh*te's a pile of sh*te whether it has a TVR badge on it or not.

Any experienced TVR owner should know that buying a new TVR is unlikely to be trouble free.....
I'm not saying that he shouldn't be racked off....but there are ways of addressing the problems and his post wasn't conducive to getting assistance from anyone...let alone the people you need to help you.
As for your 'some of you need to know the aggravations' and the 'to stick your head in the sand and keep quiet....unbelieveable' bit.....don't be so damn pompous.....we've just bought a new Sagaris....and it went back after two weeks with a list.....all little niggles.....
No hassle.....no bad mouthing....just a few problems and the need to leave it a week.....all sorted...no more problem.....

sorry YP but I agree with him that it is not unreasonable to expect a better level of quality, after paying 50K for a car, than we get from TVR generally. Seeing as the only real critisims made of their cars are the old spectres of reliability and poor build quality ( both of which are not fantastically expensive to rectify ) I should have though that under new management they would want to finally get a grip of this reputation and redefine it. The 3 year warranty is a great move forward but these endless lists of niggly faults on brand new cars need to improve.
I'm sorry YP but I fail to understand why you think it perfectly acceptable to pay £50k for a car and send it back within two weeks with a list of niggles. Do you not wonder what the role of quality control might encompass in TVR, how your car got past the PDI at the dealer and landed, after you handed over your 50 big ones, with a list of niggles?
Pompous is a great adjective but actually means "too serious and full of importance" ... not exactly an appropriate description of what I said.
