Where to buy a 100amp fuse?

Anyone got any idea where I can buy a 100amp strip fuse (the alternator one) on a Sunday? I'm based in Huddersfield and have tried Halfords and another auto spares place with no luck.

Found a website where I can buy them, but would quite like to get the car sorted today.

Bit late but you can bypass it, its very unlikely that your wire or alternator would go short, then get one later.

Small motor factors have them (something to do with diesel engines normally).

If you struggle to get one let me know. Last time I needed one I bought 10

Thanks. Had to wait until today, but bought a box of 10. Can't believe that something so cheap (and inaccessible) can bring you to a standstill (on the hard shoulder of the M1!).

I now have spares, so next time someone in the vicinity runs to a standstill and doesn't have a spare, drop me a line.

Some car factors sell 50 Amp type, u could buy a couple to get you out of trouble & still offer some protection till correct type arrives.

Either one or both of the sites also sell the fuse box holders. I've heard that in some cases the box can melt, so it may be worth buying a spare.

My local auto-electrician managed to provide me with 2 strip fuse holders from the same maker and similar construction to the VWP listed 'MegaFuse'. These are a much sturdier unit. Had a good moan at VWP & told them to upgrade dont think they would take much notice:-(
