What happened to the Tuscan Convertible debuting at Le Mans? http://www.pistonheads.com/tvr/index.asp?storyId=10790

Did anyone get any pics? I heard that the interior has been modified over the targa?

There was, as far as I could tell, a T350 running round behind the safety car for the Ledgends race parade/warm up lap.

Blimey, those 2 D Type Jags wherent hanging about. Four wheel drift, so much more exciting to watch than these modern flat-conering motors, IMO.

I thought I saw a Sagaris following the Pace Car of the legends warm up lap (on Eurosport).....

I recorded it all - so will rewatch tonight to confirm (& see if I can take a pic of the TV !)

The T350 came out and parked at the end of pit straight. It left about 10 mins before the Lemans style start and warm up lap. The Audi pace car followed around.

The T350 waited by the Porsche Curves before leading the historics to the start line, where it peeled off.

So where was the Tuscan convertible with Stirling Moss? Or, did they not manage to finish it on time and have to sub the Sagaris?

From reliant_fr's Le Mans picture thread, note the curvy new interior.

I'm also noting the roll hoops - now that's a good idea..

I have some pics to post later this week, but in short, the car looks fantastic close up. No sign of Stirling on either the Friday in Le Mans or the Sat at the track (when the car was parked up on one of the stands). The self same car then pitched up next to me at the Chunnel terminal yesterday and looks very well put together when viewed up close. Same couple driving the car throughout the weekend as well...

TVR and their PR man have parted company so we've had nothing from the factory about the launch

The Peninsula Demo Sagaris was driven by Stirling Moss on the circuit on Saturday morning. He also drove the Tuscan Conv to Le Mans on Friday.

That's nice, really nice. I could actually be tempted by one of those (even though the love for my current steed has been rekindled). I would like to see a close up of that dashboard. It looks good from what I can see, without some of the 'awkwardness' that the current T2 dash has (IMHO). Is this how they are all going to be in future, or just the convertible?

Edited to say: the close up makes it look that this dash arrangment would make it easy to switch production between LEFT and RIGHT hand drive? Maybe an efficient way to reduce production costs and have more exports in sight?

Yeah, the display is the same as the T350, although the centre console is not (obviously).

I heard from a good source - that it was Mrs Smolinski
(Nick did not want to go..)..

And I sincerely hope that is a glove box on the passenger side - I really miss having somewhere to put my stingback driving gloves

I'll get me coat
