Just sent away for a secondhand speedo to replace the one that was repaired 300 miles ago and has failed again! Can anyone tell me how to get the panel off and do I need to disconnect the battery to fit the speedo?

cheers

stag's son here.
You are on about a Cerbera right??
Are you on about how to get the dashboard type peice of? If so, there are two wing nuts under the consol, quite hard to find... one on your left on one on your right. There will also be some washes that come off with them. Take the other peice under the steering coloumn off by one wing nut and a couple of washers and the top consol type thing should come off but quite tightly. Becareful you don't mark the leather.
Diconnecting the speedo from the battery i'm not sure. Then goes back together in reverse.

Good luck
