ive just heard that team LNT have now quit the castle combe race this weekend and the rest of the championship, which now means there are no TVR's in the brit GT championship (aka porsche and ferrari champs).

a sad day today.

on a brighter note they are going to put the 2 brit gt cars in a bigger FIA GT championship calender

This is a quote from their website:
"The car will be campaigned in the Le Mans Endurance Series (and the ALMS at Sebring) as well as the domestic British GT series. The British series being particularly important to TVR as 95% of their sales are historically in the UK".
They have four cars why they can't keep one in British GT astounds me with the decent results they have attained!
Not a happy chappy!!!!

uncle dave go to the silverstone meeting anyway as its on the same weekend as the LMES meeting which has the two other LNT cars in and that is a six hour race with prototypes and GT1 cars!

supa i believe they left because they aren't happy with how it is run and the regulations or something along those lines, im sure PH will have more on it on monday

One mroe thing now then...

Can't seem to find the Endurance Timetable...

Take it that it will finish late?

If so, may just book a hotel or B+B room then go to the GT the next day aswell..

Dave.

or you could spend £10 and camp in the infield of the circuit ( ithink its a tenner anyway)

last year the LMES race started at 2pm and finished at 8pm so you see them race into dusk

Not too bad then would be back here for about 10:30 or 11...

I would camp but..... it would cost more in camping equipment than booking a room
And would be a bit cooler probably - It is August after all

Make sure that you get yourself over to Silverstone TVR on the Sunday...

'S Club Heaven 2' should be close to 100 S Series there for the annual gathering...

Details in the Calender.

The LMES race finished about 7.30 last year as they completed the distance (think it was 1,000km) before the 6 hours.
It was a great weekend and I would definately recommend camping over and bringing a BBQ (or 2). We all went to the bar about 8.30 and the band that was on were great. Very lively atmosphere and good to see many of the drivers letting their hair down.
