We've been trying to establish what's happened to them this week but without success.

I'm really sad about that, they seemed like good guys, did a good job servicing my car, and happily chatted about stuff. I feel spookily as though I'm a jinx on TVR dealers, that makes FOUR who no longer exist after I took my car to them!

What will happen to any of the cars (new or secondhand) that the dealership have?

I heard rumours of thier impending doom several weeks back but was sworn to secrecy...

This isn't good news as they were seemingly well thought of. God knows what the future holds for TVR.

Makes you wonder if any others are in trouble.

This is really sad news! The guys seemed to be uber enthusiastic when we had our Tam meet there a couple of months back, and they were really nice! Does anyone know what's happening with the people who worked there, as they were/would definitely be an asset to the marque?

TVR Blackpool says that Silverstone TVR has gone into receivership.
Does anybody know how a one years warranty on a secondhand car brought from them in February would work? would it be valid with anybody else or do I just prey until next Feb!!

I'm in the same boat as you - albeit I'm 11 months into a 24 month warranty.

My warranty (and I assume yours too) is an Auto Protect one - i.e. backed off to another company, so should be no problems there.

Rather frustratingly though, I had a few hundred quids worth of bits and bobs that still needed fixing from when I bought the car. I guess I won't be getting that sorted FoC now!

You never know - when Team Central were in receivership they were run for a while by the administraters- easier to sell a running company etc etc and I got some free rectification on the admittedly rather dodgy Griff 500 they'd sold me some weeks before....If the company is in administration it might be possible to get your jobs done

'IF' your deposit was forwarded to Blackpool you 'may' be ok, worthwhile speaking to Blackpool to establish

a. the situation regarding your order

and

b. your money!

Best of luck - hope your deposit is with Blackpool.

Makes my knackered alarm/missing keyfob, warn out roof lever and a few bits and pieces I can fix myself seem rather trivial.

Has anyone heard anything from Silverstone at all? I got an e-mail from Matt last week referring to changes "behind the scenes" but he implied they would be in a position to do service work from next week - either wishful thinking or will it be a Phoenix-like recovery?
