ANTI FLASH CAMERA SPRAY.
Discussion
You'll need to be a bit closer than the GATSO unless you have a digi SLR with an external flash. The flash from a GATSO is very intense.
Try it with somebody's headlamps on the plate - if its very bright, chances are you'll get pulled by the police, and done.

guaranteed to work.
What was the guarentee.. that they will pay the fine and take the points on their licence if you do get caught![]()
Good point. What is the guarantee?!
To be honest, I think that I am more likely to get caught by an unmarked car or a scamera van. Gatso's are so easy to spot these days that you would have to be fairly unlucky to get caught by one (IMHO).

Its not the Gatso's so much...... I live in Herts and in 3 days i came across 3 mobile camera vans..... never seen one before
Mobile vans are usually video cameras (no flash), so this won't work at all, unless the plates cannot be read anyhow.
That was my point. I would not have thought it works with Scamera vans, the specs stuff, or unmarked cars, as they do not use a flash... and these are the most dangerous to most of us because they are never in the same place.

err... did you read my post?
you can buy GPS based speedcamera detectors now for 70 quid. This spray crap probably cost 20 or so..
1) the detector is legal, the spray is not
2) the detector works 100% of time
unless of course the intention is to not slow down for the cameras.... but that seems a bit dumb.
personally I swear by my detector and backup tomtom+cameras for the gatsos, and I can use my eyes to detect the mobile vans/specs/police cars/plain cars with folk in white shirts, etc, etc.

the guarentee would be a nice crimal offece of perverting to course of justice, an maybe a nice little break at an HRH hotel for a month or so I would say...
Mr F
according to the blurb, it wont work with a normal camera flash as they are only about 20 wats, a speed camera is 300 wats. the spray seems to have some sort of crystals in it that cause the picture to be over exposed. when i was talking to the guys selling it at the bromley car show, the feds were asking them if their product was legal. the two plods didnt seem happy. i also use a detector but anything that helps look after your licence has got to be worth a go.
it was £23 and ive treated the cerb plate and the bike plates with half a tin left. needs doing every six months. their site is safeplate.net
