Depends on the route, if it is too dark and twisty it could be a risk. Otherwise it could be fun, it all depends on the roads that are chosen.

We were talking about doing an evening run at lunch on Sunday. Everytime I've planned a run it's been after work and the sort of roads we use have been practically empty from about 7pm onwards...

How does a weekend evening run sound? Say - meet at around 4pm, then drive to a pub all in one hit (maybe with a few scenic stops) to get to a pub for dinner at about 7.30-8:00?

Andy, Rob - yet another award winning idea! - driving under the stars always great fun (as long as its not raining!)

Making good progress along dark roads during weekend evenings when pi$$head numpties are meandering around the roads with a bellyful of their local brew sounds like a recipe for russian roulette.

Maybe late afternoon/early evening as suggested would be OK, provided the 6-nations rugby hadn't been on that afternoon!
