The car is under warranty and I always keep to the manufacturers recommended warm up/usage limits so as far as I'm concerned that should be enough.

No, not proud at all just pleased at the moment that I haven’t had to fork out lots of pennies for a rebuild yet. After all it is a TVR and it is a S6 engine. The money is in the bank if and when required.
Entered into Tuscan ownership with eyes WIDE open.

My Tuscan had 26k on the clock when I sold it, and it never had a rebuild.
The down side, when I had to sell earlier this year, people wouldnt touch it with a bargepole unless the £4000 price for an 'impending' rebuild was built in the price!
Whether the car would have lasted forever (as was not built with 'soft' parts') or whether it was eventually was going to pop (as the design was flawed), is unknown.
I suppose it depends on whether you believe TVR or Autocraft/MCD
All in all I fould the Speed Six worry/risk/devaluation a very sorry situation, and one which would mean that I could not get back into buying a Speed Six TVR until 95% of the 2003 onward cars are getting past 30,000 miles. OR, a BIG or, TVR do the honest thing and take responsibility for either the design flaw or defective components, IF they occur. The whole situation has lost me as a customer until then...

Only 8000 miles November 2004 car so don't know if I qualify. 
gutting to hear this....oh to dream of a Tuscan with a bullet proof v8 burble.... frankly i don't care how many cylinders it has as long as it works. Until then i'll abstain until my missus insists on mediocrity and we buy a boxter or 911...yawn...BUT LOOK AT THOSE 355 PRICES COMING DOWN...MMMMMMM

I've just has a quick search of your past postings and can't help noticing that a fair number are perhaps a little inflamatory. I understand that you had a pretty poor experience with your TVR and I'm genuinely sorry to hear that. However, please don't let your bitterness spoil the ownership experience (or, the PH experience, for that matter) for others.
Perhaps we could all just play nice and ensure that not all threads disintegrate into bitterness and in-fighting...
