Just had the Cerby serviced at APM. Andy really does a great job and treats you like the customer (how refreshing!!). The level of support he has given me chasing Warranty Holdings for a dud cam has also been above and beyond the call of duty.

Well done Andy, no more main dealers for me!!!!

Chris,

Have heard about your cam story from Andy.Keep Chasing the B@st***s!! as I can't believe that contitutes wear.

Will be picking my Cerbie up this w/e from Andy and feel that through previous experience that APM deserve more as he is really is good at both what he does and looking after his customers to a higher level than I ever got at ---------.

Jurdy,

Latest on cam is that TVR contacted me on Tuesday to tell me that they will produce a report for me on the defective cam. Once I have this nothing will stop me.

Warranty Holdings will wish they never heard of me!!!

Surely Trading Standards or the OFT would be interested in something like this. (Unfair contract terms)

However if you want to speed things up and get your little dig in against them I'd suggest a letter to the motoring column of one of the daily newspapers might do the job. These companys hate bad publicity, as it usually hits them in the pocket.

Just my 2p worth.

APM (andy) is the dogs.
The only TVR garage that I have ever met that I completely trust. I am sure the same can be (and is) applied to most other independents (Joolz et al).
As well as being a great AJP man he is also great with all the other engines and models.
It seems like an impossible deal - knowledge, skill, value, care etc all in one BUT it does happen. Please take note franchised guys!
I only wish that he could also go into building, cleaning, cooking and gardening services!

In fact - he is useless and is really a ford qualified mechanic who knows nothing about cars at all. He hates customers. He charged me £12,000 to change a light bulb and then he kicked me in the crutch.

(I like the fact that he normally isnt booked up for months and months in advance and so need to discourage use of him).

I have only used APM once so far (I normally use Thames Valley Racetech who are also good and closer than APM) when my stearing rack went and he happened to have one on the shelf. He fitted me in to fix it the following day so I was able to go and play that weekend.

Very pleased with the service and will use him again if Thames Valley are booked up. Although I do prefer to have it mainly looked after by one place due to the continuity that means they can keep an eye on the wear rates etc of everything.

I'll give Andy at APM the thumbs up too.
Did an excellent job replacing the driveshaft gaiters (not an easy job) and did the whole lot in a day (plus some other bits).

Very knowledgable and a pleasure to meet.

Good work fella .
