Indicators come on but will not flash

My indicators on my Griff 500 went all due-west last night on my way home from work. They come on but don't flash on and off. I think it could be the the indicator relay but am not quite sure.
Has anyone had this problem before and if so where is the relay situated, is it with the fueses in the footwell area?
Anyones help would be greatfull.

Could be the flasher unit but more likely a dodgy bulb or earth. Used to happen all the time on older cars with the Lucus type indicator unit, fortunatly it was really easy to clip the cover of the indicator take the bulb out, clean the two blobs on the bottom (sorry don't know technical term - oh contacts probabaly) then stuff it back in. Worked every time. R...

On my 99 the indicator module is just behind the radio area and can be removed from inside the glove box. There are two, one that does the "blinking" and one for the hazards. Hope this helps.

If both left & right indicators are working incorrectly then I would think it was the flasher unit.
