A slight variation on the tyre pressure question

I have asked this on TVRCC, but did not get much response, soI thought I would ask it of a wider audience and as I think it may apply to Chim's as well as Griff's I have put it under "General".

My Handbook (for 96 Griff)gives me pressures for the tyre sizes that were applicable to the tyres being fitted when the Handbook was being written i.e.

SO1: front 215/50ZR. rear 235/50ZR

These tyres apparently became unavailable to TVR, so later cars (my car with PAS as well) were fitted with the alternatives i.e.

SO2: front 225/50ZR. rear 245/45ZR

From the bible I can see that these were best available to maintain diameter and hence correct speedo etc, but the bible makes no reference to suggested pressures.

I usually check tyre pressures before I leave home because I am aware that handling can be affected even by a variation of a few psi. With this in mind I can see that the current tyres are wider profile and the rear lower profile as well.

Should I be looking at slightly different pressures from that stated in the Handbook of F22 psi, R24 psi because the actual tyres are different models with presumeably different characteristics?

Apologies - I sort of inferred it by the mention of the SO3s which are Bridgestones.

Well, you might have inferred it had you mentioned SO3s... Anyway people usually seem to be happiest with book or 1lb/in2 below due to the stiffer sidewalls. Toyo 1 or 2 up and D3 2 or 3 up.
