Well I think it's over with TVR for me, I believe the company's going down the Swanee. The cars simply haven't improved enough, plus we have never been given the truth about the Speed 6.
Whether I sell or mothball my Cerbie it will need a TVRCraft sort out (£6k) to get any money back, or keep it running without anxiety.
I will go to Silverstone in four weeks to see the LMES and the CREAM meeting and have a think about the cons and cons of TVR ownership in October.
Mitsubishi will go soon too (VR-4 rocketship anyone?)
Will need an Audi A6 Avant quattro deisel to lug family around, and wife wants an Jag XK8 Conv or Lexus SC430.
Me I will dream of Tuscans that never go wrong and a DB7 Vantage GT I can't afford.
Middle age has definitely just kicked in.

Go for the Tuscan, ignore all the SP6 nonsence. If has been rebuilt since summer 2004 then it will most likely be fine.
I have driven mine hard now for over 10k miles without any problems. I'm waiting for the 12k service but do not expect any problems.
The Tuscan is still the best looking car on the road!

Dont do it, I had one for several years, nothing but trouble, it will seem like a 1950 version of the Griff by comparison!

Old Tuscan looks great, and not having the discussion again, but couldn't do it to myself. Not for the 15k+ mileage I do a year in my TVR.
The roof'e do not come off the car's listed above, but I think I may have to make a complete break from TVR in the future until their cars excite me enough, axcluding the T350 which is gorgeous ... same issue as ever though.

Sorry , but I had a TR6 for nigh on ten years.
Went through some brilliant times with it and learnt alot about cars with it.
However , those wingmirrors are BAD (not in a good way).
I agree, a TR6 will seem in a timewarp to a Griff.......
Thought long and hard over this, can honestly say that if I was forced to replace the Griff I wouldnt bother at the moment and just use the daily driver as I have'nt a clue what I could or want to replace it with.
As others have said, whilst I admire the newer TVR's I have no desire to own one and probably never will.
Interesting the TR6/Griff comparison, I had my TR6 for 13 years, and spent 3 years rebuilding it to a concours standard at home. One day passing Portfield I test drove what was to become my Griff and the TR was history. I had them both on the drive for about a month whilst the TR was sold, I loved it dearly,great noise, looks, etc. but the mechanical fuel injection and handling were always a problem when in standard spec. Would'nt want another one now though, but can appreciate the similarities in character to the Griff.
