No. But TVR produced a couple of prototypes based on the same design.

I remember salivating over them as a schoolboy.
There was a book in the library with the worlds fastest cars. I'm sure it said something mad like 175 for the Trident.

Certainly faster than my dad's Morris 1100.

Basically, the car was originally designed as a TVR, but then TVR did one if its going bust acts.

TVR was then taken over by the Lilleys who thought they were getting the new car as part of the deal, only to then see it being sold as a Trident.

Much argument ensued before Lilleys gave up on it and went on to develop new TVR models of their own.

IIRC the guy who designed the Trident, Trevor Fiore, also designed the TVR logo.
