amusing tale in auto express this week

it said in the news section this week that a bloke took his TVR on a drive into France and along the way it broke down, what with parts being scarce in mainland europe not many garages were prepared to work on it except one independant bloke who took the car to his showroom and put on display!
apparently he had run out of stock and wanted to keep it as some sort of ornament.
random or what, what do you make of this strangely amusing tale?

Who can blame the fella really, a TVR in the window has to be a winner. If it were my Tiv tho I would be a bit miffed about it.

I'm sure I read a thread about this last week. It was a PH'ers car and I think it was the TVRCC France CO who was looking after the car and put it in the showroom while it was waitng to be collected. I could be wrong?
