PH Meets central/north?
Discussion
I've tried and only one or two people show up (other than carl who's TVR-less at the moment). The next Liverpool meet is in less than two weeks, there's plenty of space for dozens of cars and i'm sure I'll be the only one there again - than again I could be proved wrong?

I'm in London during the week so weekends are the only time I have to meet up with other TVR enthusiast. Last time I checked you're clubs meetings we're on a week day.
If your ever planning a weekend meet I'd love to come! As you said Albert Dock is only 20 minutes away. How are Saturdays for members of your club? I would like to invite them and all TVR enthusiast to the next Liverpool TVRCC meet on Saturday, 26th October.

Quinny said: Blackmonday, I turned up at the last Liverpool meeting and met a local guy (Mike) with a chimaera. We drove around the car park looking for other Tivs but didn't find any. Anyway as it was a nice day we went to the boat club for a bit of lunch and then went our seperate ways. For the next meet could you be a bit more specific on where to meet, it's a pretty big car park for us country folk!
Cheers,
Quinny.
Sorry we missed each other
There are directions to the location on the website that should help:
www.tvrcc-liverpool.co.uk
Let me know if they need more detail.
Quinny, Blackmonday I'll be there for this one too on
the 26th Oct,
I'd suggest parking in the King's Dock, by turning
right at the first roundabout, as you go down the
dual carriageway bit towards the Kings Dock.
Its easy to see a TVR then as soon as you come in.
Looing forward to seeing you there,
Quinny are you bring your Griff again ??
Since WHEN were any of these places NORTH??? Unless you happen to be in Dover.
How about a meet at the Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, North Yorks. Moors?
Or the Tan Hill Inn, up in the Pennines (highest pub in England, and where Ted Moult did the double glazing ads for those of you old enough to remember!).
Or the Mason's Arms, Strawberry Bank, near Windermere? 1000 varieties of beer, though they no longer have the gas-fired patio heaters out front
THESE are NORTH places... :P

I am planning a meet for next March, at Tankersley Manor near Barnsley. Great venue, used by S. Yorks. TVRCC for their Xmas bash. I'm in the process of garnering support, so please voice your opinion on the following thread :-

Re a northern meet, how about this blatent advert:-
Yorkshire & Humberside TVR Car Club Kart Challenge
Sponsored by Triple S Powder Coating, Cat Motorsport[/url] and TVR-MADS.co.uk
We are looking for 10 teams (probably of three people each, or maybe you can deploy tactics of a four person team, all weighing very little - see rules below) to take part in this event at Pole Position Indoor Karts at Bradford on 20th November 2002.
There will be a 1900 hrs kick off with a 1930 hrs planned start time. It will be a 2 1/4 hour endurance race with the team that does the most laps winning (which is pretty obvious and straight forward really). However, each team must weight at least 38 stone combined and the drivers must do an equal-ish amount of laps each. (i.e. you need some tactics so that a team of whipper-snappers does not clean up).
We hope to see a "A" and "B" teams from the Yorkshire & Humberside TVRCC Region, plus teams from the: North Yorks; West Yorks; South Yorks; and Greater Manchester TVRCC Regions; plus Joospeed (the Chesterfield/Wingerford posse) and Richard Thorpe Racing. We are also extending an invite to any Pistonheads.com readers or other further-a-field TVRCC Regions, who might like to put a team in. Finally if you do not know enough people to form a team, get in touch, because we'll also have a team for any individuals who want to turn up. Team "Norman-Nomates".
1st prize is a bottle of bubbly and the 2nd prize is a pint of lager - generous sponsors eh?
And we are probably going for a curry in Bradford's only 5 star curry house afterwards too!
The cost is £90.00 per kart with cheques payable to Pole Position please.
