Not a bad write up in the online version of Auto Express:

www.autoexpress.co.uk/?previews/previews_story.php?id=30815

Is this much different from what has been around for a while anyway though?

How will the extras in this kit compare with specialist aftermarket bits a la Joolz for example?

Opinions??

The bit about the dampers I hadn't heard, but I bet they're still crap. I would say the 20bhp extra is very conservative - mine had 50 more, and more torque everywhere.

Joolz' mods for the 4.2 which give 25bhp or so are much better value for money, and there's no question about how much better replacement dampers are imho!

I always wondered what the Red Rose thing was, I knew it was for a high spec car, but not that is is symbol of the local county.

you just learn somthing new everyday.

I seem to remember reading that the Red Rose name was a dig at PW who originates from Yorkshire like myself. Yorkshire's simble being a White Rose and Lancashire's being Red, someone at the factory is very brave.

with Blackpool being in Lancashire and TVR being a Blackpool company - could be the link to Red Rose or could just be a red herring

I always thought Auto Express was arsewipe and the web site follows suit by not allowing you to "Back" out of it.
