extended warranties

My apologies if this has been done before. I transfered the warranty over to myself when I bought the car (8/9 months for £25). It is due for renewal shortly, what I want to know is are they worth it and does anyone have any experience with them? good or bad.
Whats it likely to cost me for a Chimaera? My gut feeling is not to bother. Trev

to me as the one they gave me when I bought it will be up soon. Mine's paid for itself, covering a new temperature sender and starter motor.

I bought my Chimaera with a six month warranty with Motorplan. I extended it for a year with £1000 claim limit per time for £197. It has saved me an arm and both legs!!. New clutch, diff, immobiliser, speedo and rear shocks. Their phone number is 0870 8499811.

With a Chim I would not bother, they do not have the same probs as some of the more highly stressed engines.
Mine was under warranty and nothing went wrong with it. I have not bothered renewing it.
Top Cats do all the servicing now, and honestly I feel they are better than the dealer network, cheaper too.
There is to my mind certain paranoia envolved with owning a TVR. Maybe with some of the other models S6, AJP8 but not the RV8.
I would say save your money for when or if things go wrong.
The warranty companies are not that good in my opinion,

Thanks for that guy's, I haven't got the info back yet, so no price details. I haven't had anything go wrong in 11 months (touch wood) so, as I said my gut feeling is not to bother again. I might ring a couple though to compare prices.
