Oil pressure query

Last night, my oil pressure started dropping on the gauge when i went round right hand bends.It maintains a normal reading on the straight. I assumed that it was low oil level,but the dipstick reads half way between the two marks. Is the level this critical or is it the portent that something more sinister is about to spoil my summer ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kim,
Need to keep the level up to the full mark. (I'm assuming Rover V8 engine here)
The sump is not baffled as standard, and as a result you will get varying 'head' on the oil pump leading to changes in pressure as the oil level surges in bends.

I wouldn't think it's anything more sisnister than that

I agree with nawarne on this one. Top up your oil and see if it still does it (hopefully it won't).

I did post this a few minutes ago, where did that go ? Mine was varying, it was the connector on the sender, a quick squeeze of the connector and alls well.
