When I bought my Tuscan 4.0 in 2001 I compiled a list of 120 problems/snags/etc. on the day I collected the car (all sorted by the dealer and factory).
When my Tamora Red Rose was delivered last week there we're only 2:
[bullet]Kickplate on drivers side is bent[/bullet][bullet]Drivers seat doesn't always stay locked in position[/bullet]
In the week since I've not come across any others.
For me this is a definate improvement in quality.
Does anyone else have any constructive to ad based on their experience with buying a new TVR? I'm curious to know if others are finding an improvment.

My 1995 Griff is better built than the 1986 350i that I owned.
I work for a German vehicle manufacturer. We see plenty of new vehicles with stupid niggly faults and horrendous big ones too.
Poor craftmanship is not unique to a handful of car makers.
Though, it is nice to see that TVR's more recent cars are perhaps offering better overall quality than years gone by.

I'm pleased to say that the only annoying niggle I had with my new Tam (bought in June 2004) was, AND STILL IS, a glove box lid which doesn't close neatly!! I haven't had any serious troubles [yet] and I sincerely hope this is an example of improved quality rather than a lucky-dip!
By the way - if someone could tell me how to fix my glove box, I would be a happy man!

Must admit we were looking forward to the Sagaris, but were nervous about having a new TVR........I was quite expecting to be making regular trips back to Castles.
But she's been great so far. No body work issues apart from a rattle from the back window which was easily sorted....something in the air con got stuck...that was easily sorted.....
So.......we are really pleased..........long may that feeling continue.

is it a 375 bhp version of the 3.6 like some T350s out there? Is it a retrofit option?

Sounds like quality is on the way up generally at TVR.
To be fair, the old phrase "Mud Sticks" springs to mind and TVR has a public reputation for suspect build quality which means they are gonna be under serious scrutiny..
Ive seen some shocking cars recently come from major manufacturers which are renowned for great quality (Funnily enough German companies) but they arent fighting a poor rep.
I totally agree with pulling TVR up when they get things wrong but i think if things are improving i hope people will acknowledge that too..

Harking back just a couple of months Top Gear testing a shiney new Tiv, they moaned about a heater control knob falling off after giving the car an almighty good thrashing around their test circuit. Can't get much better really can it.
I know which one I'd rather have happen.
