TVR Warranty - 12 or 36 months?

My new Tamora was delivered last week and all the warranty paperwork states that it comes with a limited 12 month warranty. There is nothing about 36 months. I've tried contacting the factory and various dealers with no response. Does anyone know whom I can contact to verify this as my dealer is no more.

I'm not sure. If you are based in the south you could always contact Gatwick TVR would will be happy to help out.

I've got no warranty paperwork either which is why I asked if anyone had the wording they could post - no replies as yet?!

Well its supposed to be 36 months. I never got paperwork confirming my new TVR's warranty either (then the 12/24 month version).

Do you mean you phoned the factory and they didn't answer or yo uspoke to someone and didn't get an answer? I have always found they answer the phones promptly and I would have thought it a simple question for them to answer. Having said that, why won't the dealer you bought the car from tell you? Rich...

I got a yellow sheet of paper with mine from Racing Green that states the 36 month warrant... I'll dig it out and let you have the phone number, it's backed by a third party warranty company, I can remember that much.

TVR are on the summer holidays for 2 weeks which is why there is no response.

Just heard from the factory

It's confirmed - "The 3 year/36,000 mile warranty is a fairly new policy. It was implemented for vehicles registered after March 1st 2005. We are currently waiting for the new handbooks to be produced. When the new handbooks are manufactured and delivered we will send a supplement to supersede the original warranty section. We expect compilation of these new notes shortly."

am i right in thinking that the current warranty is 12 months interior trim and 36 months mechanical

I'll ask the factory when they return from their summer break. I don't see why the interior would have a shorter warranty length though?

Only five months... another efficient project rollout!

Seriously though, it would make sense for clarity at least for buyers to know what exactly is covered in their warranty?

Oh come on! Because the glue they use to stick the trim together is made of flour and water - that's why!
