Accumate

Is there any reason I would get the Accumate Pro instead of the standard Accumate? Or is the standard Accumate more than adequate? Can it be fit to the car or is the cigarette lighter lead the only option?

It has another connector that can be wired direct to your batery, the cig lighter is the easy way to do it though.
don't know if the pro is better the normal one has allways seemed fine to me.

I have the basic one, and its fine.

3 1/2 years with standard Accumate.
Easy to use and no problems whatsoever.

I think this has been discussed before & IIRC the cigarette lighter option is less desirable because of voltage etc. I have a permenant contact lead from the battery which enables me to connect to the optimate easily so the battery is kept in top condition all the time. Just remember to unplug BEFORE driving off!!!

Phone Leven and ask for their advice. They did tell me the difference between the two... but I've forgotton...

I have an Acumate permanently fitted and I can definitely second Rooster's warning.
I towed half my garage electrics down the road before I realised what I had done! but luckily no real harm done.
