Chipsaway.....

Quick question....

How severe a job can a decent Chipsaway chap tackle?? Is it just the odd chip here and there, or can they take on and do a decent job of a pebble dashed Chimaera??

Looks worse close up, but hey, it's to be expected I guess if I do 1 or 2 thousand a month in it!! :D

I have used Chipsaway in the past, but when I needed my M3 bumper doing I took into a bodyshop. It was suprisingly reasonable even though it was an Approved Porsche/Mercedes outfit that did the work. I think I paid £285 plus VAT and that included the complete removal and refit of the bumper.

Personally I think that it could be a bit too big for Chipsaway (but I could be wrong)

I used chipsaway this May, brilliant job on everything from the minor chips to repairing my bashed wing mirror. 5 hours work for just over a ton, not bad at all. Chim looked the mutts nutts afterwards.

What an off roader

I used chipsaway to repair some quite servere scratches and chips on our Bumper on our ahem vetcra and they done an excelent job.

It has been known that they do struggle though with getting the TVR colours?

Chipsaway wouldn't touch either of my TVR's and AFAIK they won't treat such a big area. I've had them out to a scrape on a previous car, the largest area they'll work on is about 1ft square.

IMHO, that looks like a body shop job.

I got the paint mixed for them, perfect!

They did a good job of repairing tha Alloys, but could not match the paint on mine and made a right mess trying!

Chips away wont do that much work, they may "take it away & get it done for you" (take it to the local bodyshop)
