Can someone help me out as I am currently looking at buying a TVR that has racing harnesses instead of seat belts? Now I have been told by someone that I would be best Advised to get them removed and get the seat belts put back in as the car does not have a roll cage. Is this true and how much would it cost ?

BTW the car is an V8S if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Race Belts and no Cage - Previous owner must have had bigger nuts than Brain. Just fit a cage, job done! - but you should be abel to rig up a quick way of using both normal belts and race ones if you have the cage mounting points - ask Rollcentre.

It isn't necessary to remove the original seat belts to fit a harness, so you may well find you have both. If not, you definitely want to have the parts for the original seat belts, regardless. Even if they aren't on the car. I agree it's potentially dangerous to drive with a full harness and no roll-over protection. Fortunately Tower View do a very good rollover bar for the V8S so you can easily have the best of both worlds.

Steve the belts have been removed - how much would it cost to have them refitted and can i buy new ones if the current owner no longer has them?
