ALARM RECOMMENDATIONS/PREFERENCES

Got a problem with my alarm on my Griff. I stopped to check the tyres on Friday afternoon, got back in to drive off and no ignition power, no alarm LED flashing. Attempted to switch alarm off, with no response. Checked all fuses, connections etc. in footwell, nothing blown. Noticed two additional fuse holders under steering column that are part of alarm system. One fuse blown. Attempted to change fuse, this again blew. Recovery guy confirmed alarm as problem and bypassed it so car would run. Managed to get home 2.5 hours later.

I've yet to check the car over to find exact cause but I'd be interested in peoples recommendations for a good Cat1 alarm sytem, incase I need a new one.

My current alarm is a Clifford.

I have the clifford concept 600 and it has never let me down

it has a remote boot release on the fob which is very handy.
