Gonna Get Me a Gun......
Discussion
I just went to check on the Griff this evening as she's currently tucked up in the garage on axel stands, only to be greeted by a great chuffing hole in the rear screen :furious:
The only thing I can think of is that some bird or other little critter has had a go at it :furious:
Either way, small fury/feathery animals are going to pay :curse: :smash: :shoot:

No.....
....that doesn't make any sense at all...... Why should a bird or 'other little critter'
have a go at your screen. Gotta be a fair size bird to punch a hole through that glass......
Bit of a strange thing to happen .........
YP
If it's in the middle it won't be a rodent, as they
need an edge to get started on.
The only native bird capable of making hole like that would be a Woodpecker (highly unlikely).
I would suggest something falling onto it, or more likely, the damage was caused by a human.
Some traces of the perpetrator must have been left for forensics ?

I bet it was a bloody squirrel. Hole about 8-10" up the screen, serrated edges, slightly greasy brownish discolouring on placcy near the hole perhaps????
They are destrucutive little B
s
It will have your wiring loom for a nest next. Best get it trapped/shot/poisoned/nuked ASAP

Just a rat with a bushy tail and good PR in my opinion.
Apparently they taste like chicken.

That's exactly what it is!
It definitely wasn't a person as the car was shut in the garage. Critter must've gotten in through the roof.
I get my wheels back today so I can move the car from the garage to the front of the house...seems it's safer out there
Try a rat trap baited with a Brazil nut (hole drilled so as not to split it).
A 'false ceiling' of 1" chicken wire will prevent the varmints from getting in from above.
Cover all gaps and holes in the garage so that a maximum half inch gap is left.
If squirrel (or rat) is cornered, whack with a baseball bat. If still alive, put into plastic bag and smack against floor or wall (keeps things tidy).
Remember WE are a superior species !

If its a rat or squirrel here is what you need to send it vermin heaven(or hell if its been naughty). Some lovely smelling grated cheese,
Ground black pepper,
House brick ,
Baseball bat.(cricket bat will do as substitute)
follow these instructions to set the trap.........
1,Place brick on a level surface
2,sprinkle cheese on top of the brick
3,Grind the pepper onto the cheese
4,Hide close by with the bat
After a short while the varmint will be lured out of hiding by the aroma of tangy cheese, he will aproach cautiously and after looking around sniff the cheese in a suspicious manner. This will result in inhaling some pepper causing the critter to sneeze, banging its head on the brick. while momentarily stunned you leap out of hiding and club the bas*ard.

Try one of those nice humane cage traps baited with peanuts.
Then, once you have it trapped you can pop around and let it go near someone you don't like.
A problem shared is a problem halfed and all that.
Ponders on what damage a squirrel would do inside a Gatso

For you namby pamby animal rightist
s
It was a joke !!!
Now I REALLY DO have 5 baby guinea pigs to go and feed.
Oh, and anyone wishing to try it on me is welcome.
Charges will be pressed.
Get a sense of humour !
Brown Rats and Grey Squirrels are VERMIN, and neither are native to this country.
Incidentally, I wonder how many so-called 'animal lovers' keep a poor little doggie or pussycat bored out of its mind in the house every day for 8 to 10hours while they're at work.
The neighbours do hear the pitiful howling and whimpering.
Animals are not toys or one-upmanship status symbols either.
